About This Work
Chen's largest and most ambitious work to date, 'Neon Decay' juxtaposes the garish beauty of neon signage against the patina of urban decay. Combining spray paint, acrylic, and collaged found materials from demolished buildings, the work is simultaneously a celebration and an elegy for the ephemeral nature of city culture.
