The centerpiece of Volkov's 2023 Berlin exhibition, 'Cathedral of Glass' combines traditional oil painting with layers of optical-grade resin to create a work of extraordinary physical depth. Light penetrates the resin layers and refracts through embedded pigment, creating a luminous effect that changes dramatically throughout the day.
